Salty Lake Poultry

We have ordered several roasting chickens from Jody and Noreen they are fabulous!! We even got a recipe from them which we still use on our chickens!! We also get eggs from them and have realized we need to order a bunch at one time because we go through them way faster than the store bought ones because they are delicious!!! I've been a loyal customer of this chicken and egg farm for a few years now, and I couldn't be happier with their products and service. The fact that they raise their chicken on grass and don't use any hormones or steroids in their feed is a huge plus for me, as I value natural and sustainable farming practices. But what sets this farm apart from others is the family who runs it - they are friendly, personable, and truly care about their customers. This small, family-owned farm is simply fantastic, and produces top quality chickens and eggs. We first purchased their chicken at a small gourmet butcher, and after that we went to the source! We have visited their farm and seen it in operation. The birds are all free-range, and that makes a huge difference in the quality of the meat. We now have a cadre of friends who are also devoted fans. Their pork is also excellent. Ben has branched out and raised a pig just for us and we have enjoyed spectacular prosciutto and sausages. I am so proud to be able to support this excellent Alberta farming family!
